The Mouse needs a secret agent...

Talk about a surreal world we live in.
Lies, all of them!

Well, some of them were. Seriously. WTF CLIFF/MATE?

I was going to say other nifty crap but its 2:37 AM and I've been sleep deprived and I'm just sitting around in my red nintendo power boxers (Not naked for once). However, if I had an actual power glove I could make a GREAT masturbation innuendo right now.

Or take over the universe. I mean seriously, it's a fucking POWER glove. What the hell can't you do with one of those things?

Things Ben did wrong that made his icon take so long to get posted:

1) Not sending it to me for the longest time. I'm not psychic.
2) Trying to AIM it to me instead of email.
3) Sending it as a .JPG and not as a .GIF as specified.
4) Posting that it was up before it was. =P

But now you all get to see scary Mav.
Mother Nature delights in dropping cold, wet objects down the back of my neck...

The secret of the GDU cannot be revealed!
Things Ben hates:

#1 Immigrants.
#2 Ambulences.
#3 The Po-Po

No I have not had a few and no I am not playing GTA: Vice City.

Whoops, we've beat the Gay Pope Cheerleader. Right now, it's the Leprachaun vs. the Cardinal Cheerleader.

I'll leave you alone with your imaginations now.
As a lesson in tackiness, on Soul Caliber III's random creation mode in versus, I emerged as the (as Cliff called it) "San Francisco Tampon head", "Gay Pope Cheerleader", and many, many other titles for what was perhaps the worst combination of gear possible (pope/priest hat, and tambourines).
All you need to know about me, distilled into one mix CD I made for myself:

Track 1 - Crystal Energy, Kuribayashi Minami (who got her start in more mainstream music by... doing voices in porn)
Tracks 2-8 - Nakayama Arisa songs (including Heart to Heart, the opening to a game that started on the PS2, then was ported to the PC with added porn0
Track 9 - Disillusion, Tainaka Sachi (the opening to Fate/Stay Night, originally a porn game and now a wildly popular TV series)
Track 10 - Being, KOTOKO (who, if you pay attention to my rants, still writes music for porn along with topping the charts every once in a while)
Track 11 - Spiritual Garden, Tamura Yukari (which is the theme to a show that's a for-children spin-off of a porn game)
Tracks 12-13 - Selections from Purple Rain, Prince (hey, at least it wasn't Erotic City)

And this was without even thinking about it.

I'm employed! Yay!
Did anyone tape/TiVo Dom on Jeopardy? I only caught the last half and Ben is mad that I didn't tell him to get off the phone and watch. =(
Just a short post from me, because I burned up my word quota elsewhere. More Hicks On Games.
How 'bout a long ass post?

It has been a very long month, and I have decided that this weekend, I am not going anywhere that requires me to be in the car for more than a half hour. Seriously, this month, I've been to (not in this order): Sonoma, Arroyo Grande, Oceano, San Francisco, and Turlock. Oh, and Redwood Shores, like 3 times. And that was in three weeks. Now I know there are other people here who drive a lot, but for me, that's a great deal of milage on my car (well, except for the Arroyo Grande, Dad drove then). Not to mention that a lot of that is for work, so while a good time was had, it wasn't all fun. I need a car break.

Speaking of cars, I've had to scrape ice off of mine every morning for the last week or so. This is mildly annoying because a) I don't own an ice scraper, and my AAA card is a little worse for wear because of it, and b)there's no one to throw the ice snowballs at when I'm done scraping. Sadness, truly.

The hills were beautiful this past weekend, what with the snow and all. It's not horribly common, but it hasn't happened in a few years, and it's always a sight to see. Green hills with a lovely white mantle thrown over just makes me smile. Too bad I couldn't get up there to take pictures. By the time I got home, it was getting too dark to get a good shot, and we left early the next morning. Alas.

Work is going well, if a little confuddled right now. I'm learning the ropes, and I have most of the basics down, but I'm going to be up in Redwood Shores a lot the next few weeks, because gaps haven't been filled. Redwood Shores is nice, but it's an hour to get there in the mornings, and almost an hour back as well, so you can understand my reluctance to be up there too often. After my stint with commuting to SF, my brain has freak out sessions when I have to be near 101 going up to the city. It's getting better, but I'm looking forward to the end of March, which is when I'll stick to the South Bay.

So I'm going to Hawaii at the end of May, but I'm paying for everything now, which is painful, because nothing there is cheap. So I'm thinking the new computer is going to get pushed back, but the new car is still well in my mind. You guys want to shout out your recommendations? I'll make a list of all of them, and start test driving. ^_^

I really wish there were more games out there like Psychonauts out there. If you have an Xbox, PS2 or PC (and I *know* you do) go buy this platformer. Seriously folks.

Monday, February 20, 2006

So I was sent this story with the caveat that it needed to be seen by someone, and that I was that someone.

What does this say about me? No, forget it, I don't want to know...

Sunday, February 19, 2006

You know, of all the things in this world that are sad and make other people tear up... why is it UNCLE BEN DYING that makes me get a lump in my throat? Why?

Thursday, February 16, 2006

DJ Devinoch is currently OFF AIR. Back next Thursday from 8-11 PM PST.
Not as dead as before, but still not optimal.

Wednesday, February 15, 2006

plague sucks.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

Ha HA! I'm havin' sex tonight, bitches!
In response to E's post below:

"Only if asking a Tauren to be your Valentine means you're engaged in beastiality."
On this joyous Single's Awareness Day, I present those of us who play World of Warcraft this thought:

"If I ask an Undead to be my Valentine, does that make me a necrophiliac?"

Something to ponder. ^_^

Monday, February 13, 2006

Nothing like a fire in the office breakroom to start off your Monday.

*cough*

Thursday, February 09, 2006

DJ Devinoch is currently OFF AIR. Back again next Thursday from 8-11 p.m PST.
More party crazyness this Saturday at our place. This time in the name of a friend's 20th birthday. But since it's at my place, and I have no idea how many people are coming, any of you are welcome to stop by.

On the offchance you decide to come, call ahead so I can make sure there's someone here when you show up.

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

Thanks Kurt Wimmer. You keep on making movies that look awesome, regardless of how well they do, and you will continue to be one of the good guys. I hope it's at least half as well written as "Equilibrium" was...
Isn't this like asking the kleptomaniac to guard your jewelry? Microsoft, the leader CAUSE of computer security problems, is going to be lanuching an anti-virus service. Somehow, I don't think it's a wise idea...

Tuesday, February 07, 2006

I love technology... GPS gumballs... just don't chew one.

Monday, February 06, 2006

Words I never thought I'd hear:

"Glad to hear from you, we'll have [Safety Monkey] get you some assignments as soon as possible."

Monkey solidarity, baby.
OK, I thought this was a GROUP blog. It being a GROUP and not a single person's, I'm putting a call out there so share ideas on what the site should look like, or if it should change at all. After all, I thought the Touched was a democracy, not a dictatorship.

"Take The Long Road And Walk It" by The Music

"Soon" by My Bloody Valentine (exit only)
"Above" by Blue Man Group (entrance only)
"Christmas Song" by Mogwai (bittersweet exit music)
"Nightdrive" by Jimmy Eat World (exit music only - I would have also said "My Sundown" but that would have been cribbed from the "Global Frequency" pilot that never aired...)
"Long Live The Party" by Andrew W.K. (entrance only)
"Never Gonna Come Back Down" by BT (entrance only)
"Not The Same" by Ben Folds (exit only)
"When I'm Dead And Gone" by Fury In The Slaughterhouse (entrance only)
"The Remote Part/Scottish Fiction" by Idlewild (exit music only)

You can see I've given this quite a bit of thought...
One of my favorite fantasies is trying to imagine what my entrance music should be, whether I'm a professional wrestler or a celebrity on a talk show with a band. Depending on my mood at the time, my entrance requires any of the following, sometimes in combination: an entire platoon of Shaolin monks, pyrotechnics along the side of the ramp, or a spotlight desperately searching for my ninja/Batman self. But no matter what happens, there is MUSIC. And it's appropriate for whatever mood I think of.

Anyway, I would like to announce that after a long, hearty session with my car radio, my choice of ideal entrance music is now no longer Hotei Tomoyasu's Evil Dance. Evil Dance is SO 2004. I have to change with the times (note that the shaolin monks have been a recurring part of my delusions of grandeur since around 1995, while the pyrotechnics are more of a 1999 thing), and so I want a giant head in my closet chanting:

Comin' up
Comin' up
Comin' up
Comin' up
Comin' up
Comin' up
It's Dom!

Then I boogie.

That's all I wanted to say.

Would people get mad at me if I said I liked the right-align better?
I've set the site to align to the left. Any other changes will require someone with real HTML skills.

Friday, February 03, 2006

Dear lord, someone with HTML skills of some sort, help us to redesign this bloody awful site!!!!

;_;
Just a heads up, I believe there is going to be an improptu party at my place Saturday night. I had realized I've been sober and bored for too long and spoke to Yuko about it, so we're inviting everyone who's available to show up. Break out the booze, split the price of pizza, video games, a movie, whatever, the usual deal. No theme (unless nakedness counts as a theme).

If you'll be in the area (of Sacramento), you're invited. Or if your life sucks and you want to be in the area to escape the monotony. I'm not going to bother with phone calls or emails since I'm assuming everyone here will be busy or not wanting to drive long distances and it's short notice - but if you want to come, hollar and show up. Seriously.

Thursday, February 02, 2006

DJ Devinoch is currently OFF AIR. (Show started late and ended late.) Be back next Thursday for more radio goodness...
Well, Cliff's certainly the most active of us.

I have an excuse though... I've been quite ill the last few days (I actually stayed home from work yesterday O_O), so I haven't been around as much as usual.

BTW, head colds SUCK! >< I feel like there's an iron band around my head, and it's slowly gets tighter as the day progresses. Plus the joy of being dizzy. Whee!

Oh, and someone tell me, do I have a giant sign on my car that says, "Please. Cut me off on the freeway. I enjoy it."? Because that's what happened all morning... ><

Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Man! Is Cliff the only one posting on this thing anymore?! BTW, someone fix my pic! OOOf.
Left house: 7:15 a.m.
Arrived in office: 11:15 a.m.

I *love* train delays...
