Today I turn 28. Happy birthday to me.

That means I've outlived Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix... now I just have to do the getting famous part.

Heh. Strangely enough, I feel pretty good about being 28. So let's see where this year takes me...

I have seen Hell. Its true form is having to edit English translations of Japanese text that was originally either English, German or Italian.

Ow.
Alright Mr. Whedon, you trust them and I trust you... but damn you for making me wait even more to see this movie. Oh well, buff up the F/X even more... We'll be here...
"The songs are in your eyes /
I see them when you smile /
I've had enough of romantic love /
I'd give it up, yeah, I'd give it up /
For a miracle, miracle drug..."

-U2, "Miracle Drug"

Yeah, it's good to have a new U2 album... I've gone through the album about three or four times now, and there's only one song I don't mind skipping past, which is a good sign.

It was so cold in Hemet yesterday that in snowed. There was like half an inch of ice on my car this morning. It's so fun to go from 110+ degrees in the summer to 32- degrees in the winter.

So I wasn't near a computer yesterday, so I have to make up for it:

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO CLIFF'S MOM!!!!!!!!!

Also, anyone into a 40 gig ipod should click on the link. You need 8 people for this one. So those of you with massive amounts of fans should have an easy time.

So we had our garage sale today. Not too bad on my end. Almost all my money will go into Christmas presents, but I'm buying myself the new U2 album come Tuesday and nobody's stopping me -- it's the one thing I want to get myself right when it hits.

Ever hit that point where you feel like you've been typing for a billion years? Yeah, me too.

About 5 minutes left until I start the new job. I'd say I'm nervous about the whole thing, but really, I'm more concerned about how I'm going to get to work consistently without a driver's license...

Dear lord, we're a boring group, aren't we? Nothing happening in 5 or 6 days? Wow...

Anyway, Congrats to my buddy Louis on his engagement to the lovely Christine. I've been told I'm in the wedding, so this will be exciting. I'm looking forward to it.

In job news, turns out Microsoft seems to be interested in my l33t skills. Or, rather, my not so l33t skills. Or something. We'll see, I'm having a phone screening tomorrow, so we'll just see what happens. It seems to be right along the line of my Google job, so it's something I know about. ^^

That's my exciting news. Oh, and I've sucumbed to the evilness that is FFXI. I don't play much, but it is entertaining. ^^;

Hey, someone else type something!

Anyone else find it weird that Dom and I both chose the same day to reset our sleep schedules, even though we hadn't talked about it with the other?

Very wee-uhd.
Happy birthday me...
Resetting one's sleep schedule is nasty business.
My sleep schedule's messed up. I admit it. I mean, here I am at 3 AM with a pepsi hoping that the caffeine will be enough to keep me up all night. And then I'll be tired for the day, sleep well at a godly hour tomorrow, and things'll be alright.

But I'm not in college anymore. And I'm tired. I guess I'll get my five hours and be happy with it... and just sleep normally tomorrow.

Yeah right.

20k down, 30k+ left to go.

Tuesday, November 09, 2004

I hath obtained the Halo 2...well the English Halo 2 now anyways ;-)
Note to self: 7 months after giving up caffeine, it is NOT okay to bust open the Pepsi again, just because "it won't hurt that much". My leg is vibrating. I wish it would sleep.

This is kind of gross to think about, but really, really cool too. I want my very own brain in a jar, dammit! I'd make it delete spam for me.

I think Cal Football gave me my second gray hair today (unemployment last year gave me my first gray hair). 28-27? Six touchdowns in the first 20 minutes or so and then 2 the rest of the way? Have mercy on my heart, Bears!

So, in other, less political news, I just finished my phone interview with a major company that my recruiter found for me. It seemed to go pretty well, and while the job seems mildly daunting, I think I can do it. It's an Administrative Assistant job, so not a high up thing, but still, it could be interesting.

Of course, they could go with someone else completely. *shrug* Who knows?

Anyway, that's over and done. Now I just have an in person interview to hopefully get through. But I really need to figure out why I'm not allowed to find work within a 10 mile radius of where I live... >_<.
And once again, we don't know who our president is...

Whee. Ain't democracy fucking grand?

GO VOTE!!!

I was a good little US citizen, and did it this morning, and it felt good. Not to mention that I got a spiffy little sticker for doing it, and that made it all worthwhile. AND, I got to relive 2nd-5th grade while doing it, since my polling place is my elementary school. Talk about surreal...

Anyway, go vote for your favorite politician. Otherwise, the terrorists win. *snicker*
