Richard Pryor has died. He'd been ill for a long time... multiple sclerosis, heart bypass surgery... but it's still sad to see someone who was so absolutely influential to comedy pass away. As I've often said, every decade has a comedian who's not only funny, but challenging... for the 70s, Richard Pryor was that comedian. He was edgy and poignant, witty and quick on his feet. The world's a little darker for his passing.
