Random conversation on train this morning between me and total stranger:
Stranger: "Do I know you?"
Me: "Excuse me?"
S: "You look familiar."
M: "You must have me confused for someone else."
S: "Do you know me?"
M: "I'm sorry, I don't think so."
S: "Would you like to? I'm lonely, and don't really have many friends."
M: "Excuse me, I'm trying to work on my book."
S: "How can you read on a computer screen?"
M: "I'm not reading, I'm writing."
S: "Oh. ... What's it about?"
M: "A secret group of magicians in modern times who keep magick hidden from the prying eyes of the public, and the politics surrounding that struggle."
S: "So it's autobiographical then?"
M: "No, not really."
S: "Someone should write an autobiography about me."
M: "I'm sure they should. Excuse me, I need to get back to work." (begins hiding under headphones)
